Young Leadership Division Board Now Accepting Applications

There are a number of ways to get involved that range from planning Young Leadership Division programs to helping out at a phone-a-thon or serving on a committee. The Young Leadership Division Board of Directors oversees the entire scope of Young Leadership Division programs. Board members serve a 2 year term.

How It Works
Each team will bowl at least one game. If you’re one of the top four teams, you’ll advance to the Lucky Strike’s VIP Room for the Championship while the rest of us cheer you on.

How Do I Sign Up?
Register Here and Pick How You Want to Participate.
You Can:

  • Pick a team that you want to be on.
    Teams are named after local Jewish agencies. Available Teams (more to come!): Team Hillel, Team Jconnect, Team Jewish Family Service, Team Jewish Community Center.
  • Start Your Own Team
    Recruit a team and let us know what Jewish agency you want to represent.
  • Let Us Assign You to a Team
    We'll help you meet fun new friends.
  • Schmooze Only
    Love kosher-style buffets and philanthropy but don't love bowling? You can still participate with our "Schmooze-Only" option.

The Young Leadership Division

The Young Leadership Division of the Jewish Federation (YLD) provides a forum for community building, leadership and service through social, cultural and philanthropic activities. YLD educates, motivates and trains women and men in their twenties and thirties to become community leaders, and is dedicated to enriching Jewish life and ensuring its survival in greater Seattle, Israel and throughout the world.

New to the Community?

If you are new to Seattle or YLD, we would like to invite you to coffee with one of our kind souls from the Welcoming Committee! The Welcoming Committee is here too make sure everyone looking to connect to the Seattle Jewish community is able to find their place. They can tell you more about the federation, YLD and other local Jewish young adult activities.

We know that is can be hard to go to an event if you don't know anyone, so this would be a perfect opportunity to meet get to know a friendly face.

What is the Ben-Gurion
Society (BGS)?

The Ben-Gurion Society (BGS) is a national initiative created to acknowledge young Jewish philanthropists (ages 25-45) and respond to a new generation of community leadership.

How can I be a BGS Member?
A minimum $1,000 gift to support the community through the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle.

Membership Has its Privileges!
Participation in BGS events is exclusive. Throughout the year, you will be invited to take part in: Opportunities for international travel, separate program tracks at regional and national conferences, high-level networking and educational opportunities, exclusive Jewish social events.
