MILK & HONEY: THE GIFT OF ISRAEL PARTNERSHIP

Imagine being able to send your child to Israel after he/she has been confirmed! The Jewish Federation's Milk and Honey / Gift of Israel Savings Partnership program is a great way to start saving money for a young adult trip and can help make this dream a reality. The Jewish Federation will set aside $1200* for each student to be applied toward an approved trip to Israel between the ages of 16 and 23. All you have to do is set aside a minimum of $150 a year, in a Washington Mutual savings account, beginning in 3rd grade through 10th grade. Your child must also continue their Jewish education through 10th grade.

As committed parents, we already know that providing our kids with a Jewish education is a wonderful gift that will stay with them throughout their lifetime. Sending them to Israel during their teen and/or young adult years is yet another way to enrich our children's lives. Research indicates that an Israel experience is an integral part of a strong Jewish education and one of the most powerful resources we have to face the challenges of adult Jewish identity and involvement.

The Jewish Federation's Milk and Honey / Gift of Israel Savings Partnership program is a great way to start saving money NOW for a future young adult trip!

• Students can be enrolled in this program ONLY during their 3rd grade year, which runs from Sept 1 through August 31 of each year.
• Parents deposit a minimum of $150 into a Washington Mutual account, and continue to do so annually, through at least 10th grade.
• The Jewish Federation will set aside $1200* for each student enrolled in this program to be applied toward an approved trip to Israel between the ages of 16 and 23.

The caveat: Students must remain enrolled in Jewish education (either day school or supplementary) through at least 10th grade.

Give your child the everlasting gift of Israel. A young-adult trip to Israel can truly make a difference in your child's Jewish future. Join the Milk and Honey partnership today!

* The $1200 includes $100 each year from 3rd -10th grade, and $500 given to the child at the time of his/her Bar/Bat Mitzvah. This money is housed separately from the Washignton Mutual savings account and is payable directly to the approved program you and your child select when they have reached the appropriate age.
