MILK & HONEY: THE GIFT OF ISRAEL PARTNERSHIP
Imagine being able to send your child to Israel after he/she
has been confirmed! The Jewish Federation's Milk and Honey / Gift of Israel
Savings Partnership program is a great way to start saving money for a young
adult trip and can help make this dream a reality. The Jewish Federation will
set aside $1200* for each student to be applied toward an approved trip
to Israel between the ages of 16 and 23. All you have to do is set aside a minimum
of $150 a year, in a Washington Mutual savings account, beginning in 3rd grade
through 10th grade. Your child must also continue their Jewish education through
10th grade.
As committed parents, we already know that providing our kids
with a Jewish education is a wonderful gift that will stay with them throughout
their lifetime. Sending them to Israel during their teen and/or young adult
years is yet another way to enrich our children's lives. Research indicates
that an Israel experience is an integral part of a strong Jewish education and
one of the most powerful resources we have to face the challenges of adult Jewish
identity and involvement.
The Jewish Federation's Milk and Honey / Gift of Israel
Savings Partnership program is a great way to start saving money NOW
for a future young adult trip!
