Federation of Greater Seattle's 77th Annual Meeting
Nearly 250 attendees enjoyed Israeli music
and a delicious Israeli buffet for the Jewish Federation of
Greater Seattle's 77th Annual Meeting at the Bell Harbor International
Convention Center on June 9, 2003. The event was entitled
"An Evening of Solidarity" and was co-chaired by
three participants of the federation's December 2002 "We
Stand with Israel" Solidarity Mission. The meeting featured
Yossi Amrani, the Israeli Consul General for the Pacific Northwest
and paid tribute to Dr. Chuck Broches who will be leaving
the Jewish Federation at the end of June. VIEW

Donate Your Airline Miles!
Have more Frequent Flier miles than you
know what to do with? The Jewish Federation is seeking the
generous donation of airline miles to defray the costs of
bringing speakers to Seattle. Producing events for our Community
Campaign is always financially challenging and costs for speakers
who have name-recognition and will be a draw to our events
are on the rise. In this economy, airfare has spiraled out
of control, placing an extra financial burden on us. This
is where YOU can help. We are looking for increments of 15,000
or 20,000 for upgrades to first class or from 45,000 to 120,000
for a first class round trip airfare, depending upon specific
airline. If you or anyone you know would be willing to consider

NW Celebrates!
On May 27th, 100 adult learners and their
beloved teachers gathered to culminate a year of remarkable
learning with Limmud NW, the Federation's Community Program
of Adult Jewish Studies. There was food, fun and (what else?)
an opportunity for more learning! Click

Leadership Mission to Israel and the GA

our next mission to Israel. This is no ordinary mission to
Israel, this mission will include attendance at the International
General Assembly (GA) of Jewish Federations in Jersulem. This
is a historic event, happening at a critical time - Israel

Seattle Sends Tangible Support to Israeli
Soldiers
In a show of their solidarity, participants
of the 77th Annual Meeting raised nearly $1200 for PizzaIDF.org,
an organization that sends pizza, soda and ice cream to active
duty soldiers who, day after day, are fighting terror and
protecting the Jewish people in Israel. The delivery will
serve as a sign to these soldiers that people everywhere support
and care for them. The generous gift will help feed more than
350 Israeli soldiers.
