Now Accepting Nominations for the Jack J. and Charlotte Spitzer Young Leadership Award
The Jewish Federation is seeking to honor the best and most active young leaders in our community by means of the Jack J. and Charlotte Spitzer Young Leadership Award. Winners are given a stipend to attend the annual United Jewish Communities' General Assembly in Jerusalem or another Federation related out of town Jewish communal conference or mission to Israel.

It is a unique opportunity for women to gather and connect, spending an evening exploring different facets of our Jewish heritage through a keynote address and participation in small group learning sessions with local Jewish educators.

NEW! at Limmud NW: The Art of Midrash Aggadah

Come learn with Mary Potter Engel, a nationally-recognized author and scholar, as she presents a special 5-week course on "The Art of Midrash Aggadah," the interpretation of those midrashim which traditionally deal with moral and spiritual issues. Ms. Engel is a faculty member of Limmud NW, the Federation's Community Program of Adult Jewish Studies which connects intriguing, informative teachers with adult Jewish learners. How about you? The class will meet Tuesdays at Limmud's Temple Beth Am location, from 11:00am - noon, beginning March 11th. Barry Goren presents Josh Gortler, CEO of the Caroline Kline Galland Home, with a check for $25,000 from the Jewish Federation Capital Needs Fund to help purchase this new bus. The state-of-the-art bus will transport residents of the Summit at First Hill, the Polack Adult Day Center and the Kline Galland Home.
