Sonya and the Importance of Jewish Summer Camp

I really enjoyed this site visit. We went to the Jewish Federation and began our year by getting into groups and deciding what our most important values were and what we wanted to focus on this year. After we did this, we had a presentation on why we should donate to the Jewish Federation's scholarship fund to send kids to Jewish camps. We were shown different letters from kids that went to camp due to this scholarship and how it made a difference in their lives. For me camp is very important and I think that everyone should get a chance to go to a Jewish overnight camp. I would support this non-profit project because I believe that the experiences that you have at camp help shape the adult that you will be and how you will affect the world around for the good of humanity. I am excited for J Team this year and I cannot wait until our next site visit.
