Taking a holistic view of the educational needs of our local Jewish Community, Education Services provides professional development opportunities for teachers and educators who work for Jewish congregational supplementary schools, early childhood centers and Jewish day schools. The teachers who participate in our programs learn how to provide quality Jewish education for our community.

Please join Education Services for a workshop on leadership in Judaism. We will explore what the Tanach teaches us about leading with vision, ethics, and morals. This includes conversation about viewing educators as leaders and the meaning and potential behind this.

Jewish Studies Course for Teachers

Education Services at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle is offering a Jewish Studies course specifically for teachers. Learn how to present your Jewish knowledge in a way that is exciting and engaging for your students. Each session offers techniques and materials to bring back to the Jewish classroom. Registration deadline has been extended to Friday, January 20. Enroll in selected course themes to suit your needs or take the entire course for a 30% discount.

Jewish Early Childhood Education Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence Holds 2nd Conference

Committed to working towards excellence, local educators convened their second conference as part of the Jewish Early Childhood Education Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence. The two-day conference brought together leadership teams from seven Jewish schools across metropolitan Seattle to explore the concept of lech lecha or journeying, one of the many Jewish "big ideas" the fellows will explore.

Jewish Studies Course 2012

Join Education Services at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle for a new course in Jewish Studies. Specifically designed for teachers, this course will reframe your Jewish knowledge so that you can better guide your students. Each session offers techniques and materials to bring back to your Jewish classroom.

When: Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm-9:00pm

Seattle Educators Strengthen Expertise in Building Relationships

Jewish educators from around Seattle came together to increase their ability to form meaningful relationships within the community they serve. The professional development session, entitled "The Quality of Relationships," had more than 70 teachers brainstorming ways to improve their daily interactions with colleagues, families and, most importantly, children. Education Services sponsored the session, which was held at the Stroum JCC on November 7. It was facilitated by Diana Ganger, award-winning educational consultant.
