Early Childhood

Come celebrate the end of Shabbat with cupcakes and cocoa. Decorate your own cupcakes, drink hot coca and work on creating a "Shabbat Shalom" mural that will hang each week at the JCC. PJ Library® will lead storytime and ECS Music Specialist Joe Johnson will lead songs and a short Havdallah service.

The event is free but we are asking for donations of food for the Jewish Family Service Food Bank. Suggested ages: Families with children up to 5th grade. No registration necessary.

Families with preschool and school age children are invited to join us in their pajamas for a special Havdallah celebration including:

• Crafts! Cookies! 
• Radical Reactions program from the Pacific Science Center!
• Tons of friends!
• And More!

Come in your pajamas for a special Havdallah service, followed by a leap into the world of nighttime creatures!  Marci Greenberg, Jewish educator extraordinaire, will teach us about creatures like bats and owls and what they have to do with Judaism!  Plus, arts and crafts, story time, snacks, and more!

*Recommended for families with children ages 13 and younger*

$10 for adults; $5 for children up to 13 years; free for under 2

Come for dinner in the Sukkah, songs, PJ Library Storytime and a campfire with s'mores.  Part of the dinner will be harvested from the Kesher Community Garden!

Schedule:

5:30-6:00 p.m.:  Meet and greet in the Kesher Community Garden

6:00-6:30 p.m.:  Dinner

6:30 p.m.:  PJ Library Storytime, campfire and s'mores
