Cardozo Society Immigration Pro Bono Project

February 10, 2011 12:00 PM

The Cardozo Society of Washington State is pleased to announce a new pro bono initiative in partnership with the Northwest Immigrants Rights Project (NWIRP). We are recruiting lawyers to join us in a coordinated effort to represent immigrants seeking political asylum in the United States. Asylum cases typically require approximately 20 to 30 hours of legal work over the course of the case. Most cases take several months from start to finish. Very little training is required to do this work and it is completely irrelevant what your normal practice area is.
