Dr. Michael Spektor, Past Board Chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle and Alpha Omega's International President in 2012, is now serving as the fraternity's Past International President.
Congratulations to Past Board Chair Dr. Michael Spektor who was named President Elect of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, the oldest international dental organization in the world.
Founded in 1907, ΑΩ is committed to social justice, philanthropy and upholding Jewish values across the globe. Among its many achievements, ΑΩ is responsible for having helped to form Israel's two major dental schools. The Jewish Federation shares many of the values of ΑΩ, as Dr. Spektor noted in his acceptance speech:

The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), a major overseas partner of the Jewish Federation, has created the Women's Health Empowerment Program (WHEP) to ensure it has not been overlooked.
WHEP has made great strides in education and helping the rest of Jewish world learn more about breast cancer, by giving international women the best tool when it comes to breast cancer: education for early detection.
