The Jewish Federation serves as a community voice, strengthens connections with Israel and World Jewry, and makes investments in Jewish life, for today and the next generation.

 A variety of grant and scholarship opportunities are available:

Special Initiatives Fund (SIF) Grants

Ignition Grants provide up to $5,000 for new, pilot or one-time projects

Fiscal Year 2017 Cycle:

  • Award notifications will be sent the week of January 30, 2017

Women's Endowment Fund grants support programs that empower and improve the lives of women and girls locally and in Israel.

Fiscal Years 2017-2018 Cycle:

  • Applications due: January 19, 2017, at 5 pm Pacific Standard Time
  • Award notifications will be sent the week of February 26, 2017

Small Agency Sustainability grants provide up to $5,000 in operational support for Jewish organizations serving Western Washington Jewish communities with an annual operating budget of $200,000 or less.

Fiscal Year 2017 Cycle:

  • Applications available online: February 6, 2017
  • Applications due: March 23, 2017, at 5 pm Pacific time
  • Award notifications will be sent the week of May 1, 2017

Emergency Capital Loans

A loan fund is available for Western Washington Jewish organizations facing emergency building and equipment needs.

Camp Scholarships

The Federation awards need-based scholarships and first-time camper incentive grants enabling kids to attend Jewish overnight summer camp.

Teen Israel Scholarships

The Federation awards scholarships enabling teens to go on life-transforming Israel Experiences.
