Maimonides Society Medical Professionals Reception

Dr. Alexander Oscar, Sofia Jewish Community President, will be giving a special presentation on The Rebirth of Bulgaria's Jewish Community: How a Neuro-Ophthalmologist from Sofia is Leading a Jewish Renaissance.

Cocoa and Cupcakes with PJ Library and SJCC

February 4, 2012 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Come celebrate the end of Shabbat with cupcakes and cocoa. Decorate your own cupcakes, drink hot coca and work on creating a "Shabbat Shalom" mural that will hang each week at the JCC. PJ Library® will lead storytime and ECS Music Specialist Joe Johnson will lead songs and a short Havdallah service.

The event is free but we are asking for donations of food for the Jewish Family Service Food Bank. Suggested ages: Families with children up to 5th grade. No registration necessary.

Families with preschool and school age children are invited to join us in their pajamas for a special Havdallah celebration including:

  • Radical Reactions program from the Pacific Science Center!

Diana Ganger is back in Seattle to continue the conversation about reflective practice with the addition of a new topic: Leadership – What Does Judaism Present For Us As A Model?

Please join Education Services for a workshop on leadership in Judaism. We will explore what the Tanach teaches us about leading with vision, ethics, and morals. This includes conversation about viewing educators as leaders and the meaning and potential behind this.

Turn the Page 2012: Women of Character

We invite you to join Women's Philanthropy of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, and women of all ages and backgrounds, as we embark on a meaningful evening of Jewish learning at Turn the Page 2012: Women of Character: A Celebration of Resilience and Renewal. Each participant is invited to enjoy an exceptional keynote speaker and participate in two, forty-five minute learning sessions of her choice led by a variety of local female educators.

Hebrew High Graduation
