"We do not learn from experience...we learn from reflecting on experience" -John Dewey

Why is reflection important for learning?
How is reflection tied to a collaborative culture?
Reflective Practice involves asking questions and listening to, observing and knowing your students, families, colleagues and yourself. Reflection leads to excellent classroom and school practices. We continually expand our capacity for knowledge and extend our intellectual boundaries, yet we should always attempt to operate with insight, wisdom and revelation.

Join us for dialogue, small group and role playing exercises and examples from the field, as we explore these questions and concepts:

• How do we define and understand "reflection"?
• How does reflection support learning?
• Why are "listening and observation" key to a reflective classroom?
• How is reflective practice a "A Big Jewish Idea"?
• How can we build a culture of reflection?

Conference events and meals are free.

STARS, Clock hours and JTC credits available.
