Pomegranate Society Event: Why Do Women Kindle Lights?
The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle and Women’s Philanthropy thank all who attended last week’s annual Pomegranate Society event. The women in attendance were eager to be enlightened by this year’s featured speaker, Ruz Gulko. Glassybaby in Madrona was the perfect setting for this illumination.
After a delicious cocktail reception, Pomegranate Society Chairs Sarah Carr and Raquel Koz enthusiastically welcomed the women to this year’s event. Ruz Gulko followed-up that enthusiasm by an inspiring talk about the topic of “light” in the Torah and Judaism. Following Ruz, the women had the opportunity to schmooze and shop together – all for a good cause! Glassybaby will be donating 15% of all sales that evening back to the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. Additionally, guests received VIP treatment by touring the Glassybaby Hot Shop, speaking with the glass blowers and experiencing the votive creation process hands on.
Thank you Sarah Carr and Raquel Koz (our event Chairs), Ruz Gulko (speaker), Glassybaby (event hosts) and all of our event attendees who helped bring this year’s Pomegranate Society event to light.
Pomegranate Society women include those individuals whose total household giving to the Federation’s annual Community Campaign falls between $1,800 and $4,999.
