CLE and Social Networking Events for Cardozo
The Cardozo Society is pleased to announce that we have two exciting engagement opportunities for Jewish legal professionals: an ethics-credited CLE and our annual Networking Event. We hope that you can join us for both upcoming programs.
March 3 is cocktails and community! Attorneys, law students, judges and friends are invited to this networking get-together, 5:30-7:30pm at the Daily Grill in downtown Seattle. Join other Jewish legal professionals throughout the Puget Sound to connect, network and celebrate our various legal-oriented activities like our mentorship program, pro-bono opportunities, CLEs and much, much more! $10 includes light kosher appetizers. RSVP for the Networking Event. Networking Event Chair: Elana Zana.
On February 23, our CLE series continues with an ethics-credited lunchtime presentation, Straddling the Gap: Where Jewish Ethics and Lawyer Ethics Diverge. This CLE will explore the rare areas where true conflicts of law exist, from breaching the duty of confidentiality to "double-billing" a client. The presenter is Etan Basseri, an associate at the Law Office of Evan L. Loeffler and a member of the WSBA Rules of Professional Conduct Committee since 2008. Attendees will be eligible to earn 1.0 ethics credit. $18 Registration. RSVP for the CLE. Law students are welcome to join for free by emailing RebeccaC [at] JewishInSeattle [dot] org. CLE Chair: Jon Schochet.
