Congratulations to President Obama on Nobel Peace Prize

Congratulations to President Barack Obama for winning the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee explained that they hope this honor will help President Obama build momentum behind his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilateralism.

"Obama has as President created a new climate in international politics," the Committee cited. "Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play. Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts."

We applaud Obama’s diplomatic efforts and hope to see progress in the Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process as well.
