Ethnic Flavors of Israel is This Week!
Registration is open for the Ethnic Flavors of Israel community dinners! Join us for a delicious meal that will include foods from Persian, Kurdish, Moroccan, Yemeni and Indian Jewish cultures. You'll also meet the nine Israeli women behind these special events, and hear unique stories about each woman's aliyah to Israel as well as their lives today in Hof Ashkelon, near the border with Gaza.
Want more? Join us on Sunday, November 14 for a series of workshops with the women of Ethnic Flavors. Among the choices will be a spice workshops, where you will learn about the unique and exotic spice blends that the women use to flavor their signature dishes (spices from Israel will be for sale at the event), and henna workshops, where you can learn more about the use of this special technique for ceremonial purposes.
Tickets are already on sale and going fast, so visit www.JewishInSeattle.org/EthnicFlavors to reserve your place!
