Goodbye 2011 and Hello 2012 – Thoughts from The PJ Library Seattle

With over 48 events throughout the Puget Sound area and 500 new families enrolled, The PJ Library® in Seattle experienced a fruitful and fulfilling 2011. Since its inception in 2009, The PJ Library has seen a cumulative of over 1,700 Seattle-area children enrolled in the program. The success of The PJ Library lies in both the programming and the partnerships. Without the support of the local camps, day schools, synagogues, educators and Jewish organizations, we would have been unable to make such an impact. Equally important are our partnerships with our donors. Therefore, we would like to thank our founding donors Carl and Joann Bianco, the Auerbach Family Foundation, the Newman Family Foundation, the Eugene and Ruth Freedman Family, Herb and Lucy Pruzan, and the Joan and Morrie Alhadeff Memorial Fund as well as The Harold Grinspoon Foundation. Without their initial support of this program, The PJ Library would never have been launched in our city nor had such an unprecedented impact on so many local Jewish families.

We are pleased that we continue to attract new donors. This vital program could not continue without them and our long-time sustaining donors. Now is the time for you to become our partner. If you work for or are associated with a Jewish organization, we would love to explore ways with you of bringing the Jewish Federation family programs associated with The PJ Library to your constituents. However, the most powerful way to partner is to support The PJ Library and other early childhood programs in our community. With the end of 2011, please consider a gift to The PJ Library to support our community's efforts to connect with as many Jewish families with young children as possible.
