Jewish Federation's Capital Needs Fund Distributes $70,000 to Two Local Institutions
The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle is pleased to announce $70,000 worth of grants from the Capital Needs Fund to two local Jewish institutions, Herzl-Ner Tamid Conservative Congregation and Menachem Mendel Seattle Cheder.
- Herzl-Ner Tamid received a grant of $45,000 for replacement of their furnace. The $45,000 for this emergency repair will go toward the $250,000 cost of the entire system.
“We deeply appreciate the support shown to the Herzl-Ner Tamid community and as always we look to those times when we can “pay it forward” by supporting and hosting the great Seattle community in our soon again to be warm facility,” expressed their President, Bruce Gladner.
- The Menachem Mendel Seattle Cheder also received a $25,000 grant toward the $500,000 tenant improvement costs needed at their new Maple Leaf facility, which they purchased this summer.
The Capital Needs Fund assists the Jewish Federation and Jewish community agencies with physical plant and equipment purchases and improvements in the form of grants or loans.
