Jewish In Seattle, the bimonthly community and lifestyle magazine published by the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle in conjunction with SagaCity Media, Inc., has won the prestigious 2016 Maggie Award as Best New Publication.

The Maggie Awards are selected by the Western Publishing Association, in an annual competition that honors excellence in printed and digital publishing in the Western United States. The competition is designed to foster creativity and inspire exceptional work.

“We are greatly honored to receive the Maggie Award, a testament to the powerful impact Jewish in Seattle has made in telling Jewish Puget Sound’s stories. Our partners at SagaCity Media, including Editor Emily Alhadeff and Art Director Neomi Rapoport, have done a remarkable job producing an engaging, informative and provocative magazine for our community,” said Keith Dvorchik, President & CEO of the Federation.

“Developing every issue of Jewish In Seattle is a rewarding creative process, from initial concept to production. Receiving recognition for this work is just icing on the cake. I owe huge thanks to our writers, artists, our teammates at SagaCity, the Jewish Federation and the Jewish community for helping make this such a great publication,” Alhadeff said.

Jewish In Seattle is available by subscription to anyone who donates $18 or more per year to the Federation. To read Jewish In Seattle online or subscribe, please visit jewishinseattle.org/magazine.
