Maccabeats to Perform at Kickoff
Fresh on the heels of the explosive success of their 'Candlelight' and 'Purim Song' videos on YouTube, The Maccabeats, Yeshiva University's a cappella group, will perform in support of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle's 2012 Community Celebration and Campaign Kickoff on Sunday, September 18 at McCaw Hall. Since hitting with 'Candlelight' in December of 2010, The Maccabeats have performed in venues across North America, and have scored appearances at the White House, and on "Today" and CBS' "The Early Show," as well as strong positive coverage in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, and Time. 'Candlelight' was one of Billboard's top Comedy Digital Tracks in December 2010.
The Maccabeats will be helping the Jewish Federation launch its 2012 Campaign, marking the first year of the Jewish Federation's new model for giving, through which donors will have the option of directing their giving toward one or more of four impact areas: Social Services, Education, Community-Building and Israel/Overseas Programs. Plan now to join the Federation on September 18. Doors open at 4:30pm.
