Main Event Goes Virtual

While having a party to raise money for a good cause is fun, a party isn't always what Seattle's young Jews are looking for when it comes to giving back to the Jewish community. For the first time ever, Young Leadership hosted a completely virtual Main Event. Past years have seen fancy, black-tie, sit-down dinners, and elaborate poker tournaments. This year, all of the finery was replaced with words from the heart asking Jewish young adults across Seattle to give what they can to support our partner agencies. Virtual Main Event "guests" were given the option to give to the general Community Campaign, or to designate their gift to either local government affairs or overseas rescue efforts. At close to $4,000 in donations, Main Event 2010 surpassed the dollars raised at last year's event, and this time there were no event costs! Thank you to all the "attendees" who gave the Virtual Main Event. Join us at Virtual Main Event by clicking here. See you in cyber space!
