New Online "Calendar to Jewish Washington" Launched

The Calendar to Jewish Washington, a new calendar with entries of interest to and about the Jewish community, has been launched at: http://calendar.jtnews.net. A partnership between the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle and the JTNews, the new calendar brings together a comprehensive list of activities and events, with an intuitive, easy search function and convenient listing process.

The Calendar to Jewish Washington offers users an easy way to find Jewish events and activities throughout the Greater Seattle area and beyond. Events within the Jewish community are listed as well as those of interest to members of the Jewish community.

"The best online calendars are easy to use, full of things to do and accessible to a wide group of users," said Wendy Dore, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. "This new calendar offers users increased access to more listings and the ability to reach more people with opportunities within the Jewish community. By working closely with the JTNews, we can jointly offer this improved service."

Some of the features on the new Calendar to Jewish Washington include:

The ability to search by date, week or month
• Listings are free
• Search events by keyword or browse the full list
• Filter the search by over 45 categories or city
• Download events to a personal online or desktop calendar or phone
• View the full calendar from a smart phone
• Share events with friends on Facebook or Twitter or other social media

In addition, listing on the Calendar to Jewish Washington means events will:
• Be available online to anyone from anywhere, 24/7
• Be considered for listing in the print edition of the JTNews Community Calendar
• And, for those reaching out to the local Jewish population in the 20s to 30s range, be considered for listing on Jew-ish.com

New features that make listing an event easy are:
• Autofill feature means your events at many local Jewish organizations are automatically mapped and address information is automatically filled in, saving time
