Now Accepting Nominations for Jewish Communal Professional Award

The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Pamela Waechter Jewish Communal Professional Award. This award is granted annually to honor outstanding local Jewish communal professionals for extraordinary contributions to the greater Seattle Jewish community. The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 22, 2011.

The award includes a $1000 stipend to be used for continuing professional development opportunities. This year's awards will be announced at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle's 2011 Annual Meeting on June 22. Recipients of the award embody many of the qualities of Pam Waechterz"l, such as a deep personal and professional commitment to the continuity of the Jewish people, creativity and innovation, and knowledge and dedication in the services they provide. Recipients serve as role models for other Jewish communal professionals and are active in the Jewish or general community outside of their professional role.

Past recipients are Rivy Poupko Kletenik, Amy Wasser-Simpson, Tziviah Goldberg, and Don Armstrong.
