One-Time Only Performance by Tzuza Dancers of Israel

We invite you to celebrate Lag B'Omer, a day of freedom and festivity. Come see the award-winning Israeli dance troupe, Tzuza Dancers of Israel, on May 2 at 3:30pm at the Stroum Jewish Community Center. The event is free if you pre-register at www.JewishInSeattle.org/LagBOmer or $5 at the door. Be sure to come for the Judaica Fair as well!

The dancers are from the Art City Center in Kiryat Malachi, funded by the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle's TIPS partnership. Art City is just one of the partnership's many initiatives to provide after-school activities that would not otherwise be available to local students due to a lack of funds.

The dance, music, drama and visual arts programs that the Art City program offers provides students with the opportunity to explore cultural arts while engaging with peers and mentors in a positive way. The dancers of Tzuza, who now compete at the national level with some of Israel's best student dance troupes, say that equal to the pride they take in their accomplishments is the pride they now take in themselves and in their community.
