Volunteer Spotlight: Talya Jeffries
After serving on the Jewish Federation’s Early Childhood Engagement Implementation Committee, Talya, a Ravenna mother of two and home-maker with a master’s degree in social work and Jewish communal service, was asked to chair the Hanukkah Pajama Jam event for young families.
On Sunday, December 6, over 1,100 attendees donned their jammies and gathered at the Stroum JCC on Mercer Island for the Hanukkah Pajama Jam - a full day of storytelling, crafts, food, raffles and music. The Jewish Federation offers three cheers to volunteer Talya Jeffries for chairing this immensely successful holiday celebration.
“It was an honor to be part of such a successful event and work with such a dedicated team,” reflected Jeffries.
Inspired by the enthusiastic turnout and the satisfaction of seeing so many different community sponsors representing all levels of observance and involvement, Talya looks forward to continued Jewish community involvement. Next up? The planning of the upcoming JCC luncheon and the Seattle Jewish Community School gala.
