As we start to turn to the beautiful summer, I know the end of the school year and summer activities are on the minds of many families in our community.

As we start to turn to the beautiful summer, I know the end of the school year and summer activities are on the minds of many families in our community.

We are proud to shine a spotlight on the fellows in this year’s Loeb Leadership Institute (LLI) cohort, the Federation’s year-long program that prepares Seattle’s Jewish leaders for future service. Meet Aviva Schecterson and learn how she’s gaining leadership skills to better support and connect Jewish video game developers.

Know a family in our Jewish community who recently welcomed a new baby? We’d love to help celebrate this joyful milestone and warmly welcome them to the community.

Timed during Jewish American Heritage Month, the trip brought together Federation staff, JCRC leaders, and community advocates to meet directly with members of Washington’s congressional delegation.

Read reflections from members of Seattle’s National Young Leadership Cabinet (NYLC) cohort, who recently traveled to Thessaloniki and Athens to explore Greece’s Jewish history and present-day community.

Today, we need you to add your voice to ours by calling on our elected leaders to support The Jewish American Security Act.

We are excited to share that later this summer, the Washington State Jewish Historical Society will be integrated into the Federation’s portfolio of meaningful engagement programs we offer to the community.
We have created a collection of educational resources that you can share with your community leaders, your school administration and educators, and elected representatives so they can engage with Jewish American Heritage Month.

It is important to remember that the reason we are committed to countering antisemitism and keeping our community safe is so that we can be Jewish joyfully, openly, and with optimism about the future.

We are inviting the community to submit nominations for three distinguished awards recognizing emerging, lifelong, and communal professional leadership. Submit your nominations by May 8, 2026.

This research helps us see where we have things in common, where we differ, and what we can do to improve our community’s well-being and engagement. I am excited today to share the results of this survey with our community for the first time.
