As the Eastern Seaboard continues to recover from the unprecedented damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, the Jewish community is beginning to assess the devastation both to our community as well as the general population. We continue to be amazed by the resiliency, generosity, and flexibility of the American people generally, and of the Jewish community specifically.
The Jewish Federations of North America has established the JFNA Hurricane Relief Fund to serve as a national focal point to collect contributions to aid in the recovery and rebuilding in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

More than 100 contributors made either new or increased gifts at last Sunday's 2013 Community Campaign Kickoff at McCaw Hall, yielding a total of $105,000 toward this year's Challenge Grant Initiative.
