Education Curriculum

Helping someone in need is a Jewish value. It is essential to educate young members of the Jewish Community about the realities of poverty in order to dispel the many misconceptions and stereotypes about it. The Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty, based out of New York State, has created a six-lesson curriculum (appropriate for all ages) that is designed to educate Jewish youth about poverty and the Jewish obligation to eradicate it. More information about poverty and homelessness in Washington State is available on our Resources and Poverty Page. Below you will find downloadable versions of the Jewish Poverty Curriculum.

The time to educate our community and get involved in poverty alleviation work is now. Please join us in this commitment to fight poverty and educate the next generation of Jews, so that they will be moral, righteous and engaged community members.
