Our Work In Israel
The Jewish Federation cares deeply about our Jewish community in Israel. We send hundreds of thousands of dollars to Israel each year in support of programs and organizations such as Khabarovsk Chesed Center, Kiryat Malachi Emergency Medical Clinic, Jewish Agency for Israel, Leket Israel (formerly Table to Table), Selah: Israel Crisis Management Center, YEDID: Kiryat Malachi Citizens Rights Center.
We work as part of the TIPS (Tucson, Israel, Phoenix and Seattle) Partnership to bring volunteers together from these Jewish communities with the people of Kiryat Malachi and Hof Ashkelon to help develop and support one of Israel's most economically challenged regions. In Israel, our partners run Youth Village for at-risk youth. Begun as a first home for children rescued from Nazi Europe, today provides a warm environment where over 1,000 new immigrants and at-risk youth receive the educational and emotional support they need to flourish. We support a medical clinic in Kiryat Malachi and a dental clinic in Hof Askelon.
We promote a love for Israel through our advocacy efforts, missions to Israel and Israel scholarships. We advocate on behalf of Israel and for a just peace. Our Israel Resource Center provides personalized service matching teens and young adults with Israel experience programs, available funding sources and scholarships. You can help young adults connect with their extended Jewish family in Israel by giving to the Israel Scholarship Fund.
We also offer programs for kids to get involved in Israel and volunteer opportunities for adults and young adults in Israel and around the world.
These programs need your support. Donate today.
