PJ Library FAQs
What does PJ stand for?
Pajamas! We know those special times of reading, dancing, and singing together happen when your children are wearing their pajamas.
Who is eligible to register?
Those who fit the following three criteria:
• Families with children from 6 months to 5 ½ years old, and
• Has one Jewish parent in the household, and
• Currently resides in King or south Snohomish Counties.
What’s the Cost?
The PJ Library® is free for the first two years your child is enrolled in the program due to our generous local donors: Carl and Joann Bianco, the Auerbach Family Foundation, the Newman Family Foundation, the Eugene and Ruth Freedman Family, Herb and Lucy Pruzan, and The Harold Grinspoon Foundation from Massachusetts.
What if I have grandchildren who live outside of Seattle?
• To find out if their community is offering The PJ Library, go to www.PJLIbrary.org. If they are, you can sign them up on the national website.
• If your relative’s community is not currently a PJ Library community, you can purchase a gift subscription for each child for just $60/annually.
What's the catch?
There's just one — you need to READ the books and LISTEN to the music WITH your children. That's all!
