Leadership & Service

Looking for hands-on volunteering opportunities with other people? Hoping to learn more about our local Jewish community? Wanting an opportunity to give back through sweat and camaraderie?

The Jewish Federation is proud to offer the following programs:

MenschWorks

MenschWorks is a volunteer program that allows Jewish adults in their 20s and 30s to meet like-minded adults while learning about, and being of service to, the Seattle Jewish community. Commit to one day of service each month for five months, and meet up with team members for a fun project and new friendships.

J-Serve

J-Serve is held each year where 9th-12th graders participate in a community- and nation-wide community service day.

SpringBoard

SpringBoard Leadership Series engages and trains young adults for volunteerism and leadership in the Jewish community. Participants learn about political advocacy and activism, Jewish communal fundraising, serving on a board, combating anti-Semitism and more. This leadership series consists of eight seminars led by local and national leaders.

Board Leadership

The Jewish Federation has three “boards”: the overall Board of Directors, Young Leadership’s board of directors and the board of Women’s Philanthropy. If you are interested in this kind of service, please contact Rebecca Cohen at RebeccaC@JewishInSeattle.org
