Tell the President and Congress to Fight Anti-Semitism Now

We know that bigotry anywhere is a threat to Jews everywhere. History has shown that hatred, discrimination and religious intolerance left unchecked can dangerously evolve from vile rhetoric into physical violence. Violence against Jews and the defamation of Jewish institutions are unacceptable and have no place in our democracy.

Since January of this year, anti-Semitism in our country has exploded:

  • 83 bomb threats have been made against Jewish Community Centers across the country;
  • Two Jewish cemeteries have been desecrated;
  • Numerous bomb threats have been made against Jewish schools.

On February 27, our own JCC on Mercer Island received a bomb threat.

Our leaders have an obligation to stand up against this campaign of fear and violence. Congress and the President must put forth a plan to make fighting anti-Semitism and other forms of discrimination a top priority - the future of our democracy depends on it. But our leaders must hear from you that this is a priority!
