The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle has awarded over $157,000 in need-based camp scholarships for the 2016 camping season, ensuring that more than 250 children can attend Jewish overnight summer camp. In addition, we awarded nearly $60,000 in One Happy Camper grants to 100 first-time campers.
The scholarship application round for 2016 is now closed. We will open applications for the 2017 camping season in November 2016. Deadlines for returning your 2017 applications will be February 24 for round 1 and April 21 for round 2.
The Jewish Federation believes that the Jewish overnight camp experience is essential to building a child's Jewish identity.
The Federation's Camp Scholarship Program helps families in Washington State with the cost of camp tuition. By providing you with a variety of funding options, our goal is to ensure that you receive the assistance needed so that your child/children can participate in the Jewish overnight camp experience.
