Our Work Serving as a Community Voice

The Federation serves as a community voice through advocacy, giving Jewish organizations access to SAFE Washington security resources, and telling the community’s stories in Jewish In Seattle magazine.

Federation advocacy gives Jewish Puget Sound a powerful voice in Olympia for protecting the social safety net, fighting anti-Semitism and other forms of discrimination, and championing human rights. As a community voice, the Federation works with our elected representatives to advocate for our community’s priorities through the lens of Jewish values.

Because of the Federation, over 100 Jewish organizations in Washington State have access to community security resources, including a communications network,  and preparedness and disaster response training through SAFE Washington, a Mark Bloome initiative. The Federation leverages its strong relationships with law enforcement agencies to provide this critical service.

The Federation’s award-winning magazine, Jewish In Seattle, helps strengthen community by telling engaging and inspiring stories about the diverse experiences of Jewish life in the Puget Sound region.
