Once a month, thousands of children in our community receive a beautifully illustrated book from PJ Library® with a wonderful Jewish story that families read together, share, and enjoy at Bim Bam Baby! gatherings that connect new friends to Jewish life.
Meanwhile, Jewish organizations across our state make use every day of essential, behind-the-scenes security services provided by the SAFE Washington program.
Thousands of miles away, Jewish families facing hardships receive fresh produce and hot meals in Israel.
What do these services have in common? They are a few of the many Federation programs and priorities that your generosity makes possible. They are examples of the big impact that you make when you GiveBIG to your Federation.
GiveBIG will be here on May 4 and 5, an opportunity to touch more lives and open more welcoming doors in our diverse and growing community. Over the past year of trial and challenge, we’ve all adjusted and innovated with a laser focus on keeping Jewish life strong and moving forward. We’ve found ways to learn together and celebrate together. In this time of transition, when we see the glimmerings of a post-pandemic world, GiveBIG is more important than ever as we shape a “new normal” for Jewish life.
The beauty of GiveBIG is that a gift of any size makes a difference because they all add up. GiveBIG is for everyone. Let’s go back to the three impact examples that I mentioned above. Did you know?
$50 provides a PJ Library book for one child every month for an entire year.
$180 will pay for 191 hot meals, through Federation’s international partners, for Jews around the world who have lost jobs because of the pandemic.
$360 will support a training for local Jewish organizations in applying for federal Nonprofit Security Grants.
There are so many ways that your GiveBIG gift to Federation will strengthen Jewish connections, amplify Jewish voices, and ensure Jewish continuity. Federation overnight camp scholarships for families to help their children build their Jewish identity. Advocacy to fight for justice and against antisemitism.
