The Jewish Federation is creating Jewish Connections for Life in the Puget Sound region - ensuring that all Jews can participate in Jewish life in any way that fits their interests and passions, at every stage of life.
We create Jewish Connections for Life in two ways:
Engagement - We create opportunities for engagement and for bringing community together, through focused engagement projects, the PJ Library and scholarships
Advocacy - We serve as the voice and champion of the community's human services, civil rights, Israel advocacy and other priorities by building relationships with decision-makers at all levels of government and by maintaining a strong presence in Olympia
Israel and World Jewry - We connect Jewish Puget Sound to Jews worldwide through overseas trips, local visits by camp counselors and other Israeli friends, helping Jewish communities in need, and sponsoring community-wide events
Foundation for a Jewish Future - We are building a durable foundation to support Jewish engagement and other core services for generations to come.
Communications - We keep our community informed about people, stories and events, through our weekly e-blast, Puget Sound Jewish Life (sign up here); our quarterly newsletter, Jewish Connections (see current and past issues here); and our bimonthly lifestyle magazine, Jewish in Seattle (read the current issue here).
We will strengthen Jewish life by making targeted investments, beginning in the summer of 2016, that are data-driven, measurable and transparent. We will focus initially on building Jewish neighborhood connections, strengthening young families engagement, and fostering lifelong learning.
