President & CEO
As I write this last letter as President & CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, I’m filled with a mix of emotions, ranging from deep gratitude to a profound sense of pride. It’s been an incredible 14-year journey marked by growth, challenges, and unwavering dedication to our community.
Reflecting on my tenure, I feel compelled to share my deep appreciation for the exceptional professional team that is the backbone of the Federation. The talent, dedication, and passion exhibited by our staff (Team Fed) is nothing short of extraordinary. Working alongside such a committed group of individuals has been a privilege, and I leave my role with a profound sense of pride in what we have accomplished together.
Together, we have and continue to weather unprecedented challenges, from the global upheaval caused by the pandemic to the war in Gaza that is impacting us deeply. During these trying times, the strength, unity, and resilience shown by the people of Jewish Puget Sound has been nothing short of inspiring. Your unwavering support during historic levels of antisemitism worldwide has been a beacon of hope, and I am deeply thankful for the bonds we have forged as we face these challenges.
Come the end of this month, I’ll be passing the leadership baton to Solomon (Solly) Kane. Solly’s commitment to our mission is evident, and I am confident that under his guidance, the Federation will continue to thrive and evolve.
To the Board and all the volunteers who selflessly give your time, expertise, and passion to our shared mission, I extend my gratitude. Your contributions and mentorship have been instrumental in shaping the Federation’s success, and I am truly grateful for the collaborative spirit that defines our community.
It has been an honor to serve you, and I look forward to a smooth transition working alongside Solly before embracing retirement. I will carry cherished memories and the confidence that the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle will continue to thrive and make a positive impact under new leadership.
