Letter from the CEO: Jewish Safety & Democracy
After careful deliberation, the Federation’s JCRC voted to sign a national statement addressing the relationship between Jewish safety and democracy.

After careful deliberation, the Federation’s JCRC voted to sign a national statement addressing the relationship between Jewish safety and democracy.

We are proud to share that our two lead priorities—funding for Nonprofit Security Grants and Holocaust and Genocide Awareness Education—were funded in the final budget!

We need your help to let budget leaders know Holocaust and genocide awareness is critical.

Just blocks from the state capitol in Olympia, the Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) brought together a diverse group of over 70 individuals, representing 21 legislative districts across Washington.

Over 70 community advocates from across Puget Sound met with legislators in Olympia to push for security funding, Holocaust education, stronger protections against antisemitism, and more.

Please take a moment this week to tell your legislators how critical funding Holocaust education is.

Our goal is to educate and advocate at the local, state, and national levels to advance Jewish concerns in the public arena.

Explore the stories, successes, and impact in our 2024 Annual Report—a celebration of what we’ve achieved together.

Lobby Day is where we bring legislative priorities to life—and where every voice, including yours, can make a difference.

While none of us can be certain about what the next four years will look like we wanted to take a moment to share some of the JCRC’s basic core principles that will ground and drive our work.
