Hundreds gathered in person and virtually to remember the victims of October 7, hear personal stories, and stand in solidarity with Israel at the Federation’s commemoration event.
As we prepare to welcome Rosh Hashanah – the start of a new year – I am holding onto both optimism and hope, as difficult as that is at times.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle joins ElevatEd’s initiative to address the early childhood educator shortage by recruiting and mentoring new teachers, supporting Jewish education, and strengthening community engagement across the region.

Community members explored antisemitism and engaged in meaningful discussions during the impactful exhibit co-hosted by the Federation’s JCRC last week.

Over 300 Jewish leaders gathered in Seattle for the National Young Leadership Cabinet Retreat, where powerful connections, inspiring reflections, and a shared commitment to strengthening Jewish communities worldwide took center stage.
Many Jewish young people are experiencing the joy of Jewish summer camp all over the state.
On June 20, we recognize many community leaders at the Federation’s Annual Meeting.
The success of our advocacy work in Olympia is not just incumbent upon high-level professionals and dedicated volunteers, it also relies upon partnerships and allyships — both with legislators and with advocates from other communities.

Many themes of the holiday have taken on a new meaning in the post-October 7 world.
