Community Mission to Greece

Follow the story of a remarkable Jewish community.

March 4 – 11, 2027

From $6,995 per person

Open to all community members

Travel with the Federation to explore the Jewish heritage of Athens, Rhodes, and Thessaloniki, while meeting the people and communities carrying that legacy forward today. This eight-day mission includes visits to historic Jewish sites, opportunities to connect with local community leaders, and experiences that bring the history and culture of Greek Jewish life to today.

Discover the island of Rhodes and its rich Sephardic heritage. The history of Rhodes is deeply connected to Seattle, where many descendants of Rhodesli Jews built families and contributed to the growth of our Jewish community.

Our journey continues in Thessaloniki, often called the Jerusalem of the Balkans. For centuries, Thessaloniki was one of the world’s great centers of Sephardic Jewish life and Ladino culture until its vibrant Jewish population was nearly destroyed during the Holocaust. We will also witness the resilience of Jewish life as we connect with local Jewish leaders and learn about the remarkable history of one of Europe’s oldest Jewish communities, whose story spans more than 2,000 years.

Registration is now open.

Registration is handled by J² Adventures, our travel partner for this mission.
