Frequently Asked Questions
All 8th-graders in Washington state who identify as Jewish are eligible to participate in the IsraelNow program.
Yes, need based-scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Sonya Basseri, Leadership and Israel Program Manager, at sonyab@jewishinseattle.org for details.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration.
The balance of $1,900 is due by September 22, 2026.
If IsraelNow cancels the trip for any reason, at any point before departure, parents/guardians will receive a full refund, including the $500 deposit.
Cancellation on or before September 22, 2026
By giving the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle a written notice of cancellation on or before September 22, 2026, a participant will be eligible for a full refund of $1,900 (price minus the non-refundable deposit)
Cancellation after September 22, 2026
No refunds will be granted after September 22, 2026. You must still submit written notice to Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle to formally withdraw from the program.

As a part of building our IsraelNow community and getting to know your teen, there are three pre-trip teen orientations for all participants. You can find these dates on the specific trip timeline after you register. Parents/guardians are expected to attend the 3rd orientation with their teen.
There is also a reunion following the trip, which is a great way to stay connected to IsraelNow friends.
Orientation 1: Tuesday, December 1, 2026: 6–8 pm
Orientation 2: Tuesday, January 4, 2027: 6–8 pm
Orientation 3: Tuesday, February 9, 2027: 7–9 pm
Location for the orientation will be provided closer to the dates via email to registered participants.
As you start high school, we want to help you stay connected! In the short term, you can continue your involvement through organizations in the community such as synagogue youth groups, BBYO, Jewish Student Union, and local summer camps.
