This year, with all that is going on in Israel and the Jewish community worldwide, bring in the light of Hanukkah and the warmth of Jewish community by coming together with our partner The Seattle Jewish Community School (SJCS) to enjoy warm beverages, Hanukkah doughnuts and light the Hanukkah candles in community at SJCS and then go out as a community to enjoy the Green Lake Pathway of Lights.
Candle Lighting Reception at SJCS from 4 pm – 5 pm Followed by enjoying the Pathway of Lights, which runs until 7:30 pm (families can stay as long as they like).
Hanukkah may be officially over, but join PJ Library Seattle and Temple Beth Am for one final day of spreading light and joy!
We will start with a joyful Family Shabbat Sing-Along and enjoy some of our favorite Shabbat and Hanukkah songs and the official opening of the Free Little PJ Library. Then, join us as we get hands on with Hanukkah cookie decorating kits* from local favorite Zylberschtein’s. There will also be dreidels to play with and coloring activities, and feel free to bring a PJ Library or PJ Our Way book or two your family is ready to pass on for our PJ Library book swap.
*Each kit includes 4 Hanukkah-shaped cookies, 2 tubes of icing, and 2 containers of sprinkles in holiday colors.
Fridays at 9:45 am | Join us weekly for songs, connection, a PJ Library story, Shabbat blessings, and fresh challah! This event is geared for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
PJ Library Family Pods are like a chavurah or a Jewish PEPs group that connect a micro group of PJ families in geographic proximity with children of similar ages to get together on a regular basis to do activities, build bonds with other Jewish families, celebrate Shabbat, Havdalah, and other Jewish Holidays. Watch your kids grow up together and build community with other PJ Parents at the same stage in their parenting journey. Find community & enjoy a shared love of PJ Library / PJ Our Way as your families find ways to “Do Jewish” together.
